POST 18: Project Outcome
This video took about four - five hours to render. The camera is jerky near the end - otherwise I think it's good.

POST 17: Final Animation (Development)
DEVELOPMENT
This is the work that goes together to create my final animation. The concept that I arrived at after my journey of experimentation is one including the parallel opposition of ideals. The idea of the animation is a digital wold creating or conceiving of a organic entity, which in this case is a leaf-creature. In reality it is an organic entity (humans) that have created a digital world.
To start building this animation I must first find the right leaf for the creature's body. I scanned in two different leaves from my house and experimented with them in animation. The scans and textures are below.
This video is for the second leaf experimentation.
I decided to carry on with the second leaf and start building a scene around it. In building this scene of spheres and glows, I also decided to implement some for some texture and interest. I was greatly influenced by another 3D animation I had found - Watercolor from Pendulum.

These clouds are 3D generated but the ones I have created are from2D photos composed into a 3D scene. These are the clouds that I used.
With these cloud textures I was able to create something with a bit more of a natural feel rather than just digital.
I am pleased with this development because it is not like anything I have created before. My intention was to create a galaxy looking object that had stars surrounding it like a halo. The clouds gave effect to making it look like a nebula.

POST 16: The Scene of Dots and Lines
EXPERIMENTATION
Today has just been playing around and experimenting. This is the first time I have created what feels like a scene. The camera floats around in and between the halos and lines.

The image on the left is just pure experimentation with the cloth functions but it is nice to perceive it as a nice silky fabric that hangs from a digital ball.
Below is the video of the scene.

POST 15: Fish Creation (Development)
DEVELOPMENT
I decided to work on another piece that replaces the jelly fish with a gold fish for the purpose of bringing in some reality to the work rather than just abstract pieces.
I took some pictures of one of my gold fish and abstracted parts to use as textures for the model.
Here is a still rendered image of the fish model with the applied texture in mid-animation.
Here is the development video reel:

Post 14: Light Dance Development (experimentation/development)
EXPERIMENTATION
I have had a lot of fun playing around with this piece. I used the model I was working on last time but applied what I had learned in creating glow effects with particles and halos.

POST 13: Putting It All Together (experimentation)
EXPERIMENTATION
Here is also a video compilation of all my best parts I have created so far.
Sebastian
I decided to spend some time playing around with what I have learned in the past week. Here are some experiments with the sea creature and wave patterns.
Here are some images I have captured from my animations.
Film Reel
Here is also a video compilation of all my best parts I have created so far.

POST 12: Sea Creatures (research/experimentation)
RESEARCH
These two pieces are from an artists named Tatiana Plakhova. Her work looked a lit like the work I am doing at the moment so I thought it would be a good idea to investigate it. I selected these two images because the first one looks similar to the shapes I am making. And the second on because it gave me an idea with what I can experiment with next.
Below I had decided to recreate the first image.
This is my recreation of Tatiana Plakhova's image. This is to test my ability up to now to recreate something on Blender.
EXPERIMENTATION
Here is a show reel of my experimentation with my sea creates inspired by Tatiana Plakhova's work.
In these experimentations I have learned a lot about how to make objects move with cloth-like motion. I also learned a bit about composite nodes which is presented as depth of field in this video.
