I wanted to have my infographics have interactive functionalities within the OOP language but it's seems my time budget is not long enough for my further studies in Action Script. Although I have followed the tutorials and code examples, I keep getting errors ever after numerous checks of the code. This has been very frustrating. So, in reevaluation I have decided to stick to simplicity, without code. I have decided to create my infographics 3D and still interactive but only only basic interactivity. My 3D capabilities are more developed than my coding skills so it is wise (I believe) to develop my work from here on in what I know to do.
My inspiration that is influencing me still is Prologue's work with Iron Man. I have discovered a new video they had created in their experiments.
These graphics are based on mechanical drawings and look great when they are mixed with other visual effects like they had done in Prologue's Iron Man VFX project. The focus here for me is not so much functionality (code) because I do not have the time to learn it. Instead I am going to focus on the aesthetics of infographics, which actually fits into my IS project that I am currently working on; my 4000 word essay to do with the process of infographics and the value of aesthetics.
EXPERIMENTATION
I have done some Iron Man VFX inspired work in 3D here. It is an animation to show all the dimensions. There are two tests:
TEST 1:
TEST 2:
I will keep an update on my progress on Blender (the 3D design program). It will soon be collecting data to represent.
Fresh,
Sebastian
